South Carolina has apple-picking destinations, roadside fruit markets and seasonal farms that offer a different kind of outing. This guide identifies those differences so you can choose a stop that matches your plans.
Before traveling, check the day’s apple availability, public hours and reservation requirements. Farm-market opening dates and U-pick dates are often different, especially as fall harvests come to an end.
1. Bryson’s Apple Orchard
Mountain Rest, South Carolina

Bryson’s Apple Orchard is in Mountain Rest near Long Creek. Its website currently displays a notice that the apple stand is closed for the season because of family health issues.
Check the orchard’s website or contact the business for reopening information before planning a visit.
2. Chattooga Belle Farm
Long Creek, South Carolina
Chattooga Belle Farm in Long Creek combines a working orchard with a farm store, event venue and distillery. Its Appalachian Grown farm profile lists seasonal U-pick fruit, including apples, as well as farm products for purchase.
Apple varieties listed by the farm include Golden Delicious and Fuji, but availability depends on the harvest. Confirm which fruit is open for picking and which location to use: the profile distinguishes the farm on Damascus Church Road from its Long Creek Highway roadside market.
3. Hollifield’s Orchard
Westminster / Long Creek area, South Carolina

Hollifield’s Orchard is a fourth-generation family orchard with a roadside market selling apples, peaches and seasonal vegetables. Certified South Carolina lists its address as 161 Hollifield Lane, Westminster.
Visit the roadside market for seasonal fruit. Call 864-710-5104 for hours, directions and available varieties.
4. Fishers Orchard — peach orchard and farm markets
Greer, South Carolina
Fishers Orchard in Greer is primarily a peach grower with retail locations and a separate U-pick farm. Its current website distinguishes the retail markets from the picking operation.
The U-pick farm is currently closed. Check which retail location is open and ask about the fruit in stock before making a trip.
5. MacGregor Orchard
Travelers Rest, South Carolina

MacGregor Orchard in Travelers Rest grows a wide range of fruit and sells seasonal produce at its fruit stand. During apple season, the orchard makes fresh applesauce and cider; it also offers preserves and fruit butters.
Choose it for orchard fruit and farm-made products. Contact the fruit stand for hours and the latest selection, especially if you have a particular apple variety in mind.
6. Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill
York, South Carolina
Windy Hill Orchard and Cidery in York offers Stayman Winesap apples, cider donuts, a farm stand and a hard-cider bar. Picking requires an online reservation; ordinary farm-stand and cider-bar visits do not.
Apple picking is currently limited to Fridays because heat and drought reduced the crop. Pre-picked apples remain available at the farm stand, with weekend hayrides planned. Use the picking and reservation page to choose an available time.
7. Blue Haven Orchards
Long Creek, South Carolina
Blue Haven Orchards is a Long Creek fruit-stand stop. The regional tourism directory lists it on Long Creek Highway, and the orchard maintains a Facebook page.
Contact Blue Haven for fruit-stand hours and the latest apple selection before visiting. Availability varies through the harvest.
8. Bush-N-Vine Farm — other seasonal farm activities
York, South Carolina

Bush-N-Vine Farm in York offers a farm market, café and seasonal picking. Its current crop information lists strawberries, blueberries, peaches, blackberries, pumpkins and flowers.
Check the picking updates and event calendar for seasonal crops and activities. It is an option for a farm outing centered on the produce ready during your visit.
9. Hinnant Farm — summer fruit and produce
Eutawville, South Carolina
The South Carolina Department of Agriculture lists Hinnant Farm in Eutawville as a roadside market and U-pick farm for seasonal produce, including peaches, blackberries and blueberries.
The farm lists a June-through-August season, making it an option for a summer produce outing. Call 803-492-3788 for opening dates and available crops.
10. Ragan Orchards — seasonal roadside market
Inman, South Carolina

Ragan Orchards in Inman is a roadside market at 2039 Highway 292. The state agriculture directory lists peaches, berries, vegetables and other seasonal produce, with an April-to-September season.
Certified South Carolina also lists jams, jellies and cider among its market offerings. Call 864-472-5778 for seasonal hours and the latest fruit selection.
Plan Your Orchard Visit
For apple picking, look for a current picking announcement and a confirmed reservation where required. For a quick fruit stop, a roadside market may fit better. Check seasonal dates carefully: several farms in this guide focus on summer produce, while apple stands can remain open after picking ends.
