2. Silver Creek Orchards

Silver Creek Orchards in Tyro offers some of the best apple varieties in central Virginia apple orchards. It has been owned and run by the same family for seven generations, starting in the middle of the 19th century.

Some of these apples are perfect for eating fresh or baking, while others are used to make the orchard’s famous apple cider. In 2009, they opened a tasting room for their original ciders, including hard cider.

11. Morris Orchard

Morris Orchard is a farm that sits by High Peak Mountain in Monroe, VA. It is family owned and offers not only apples, but blueberries, peaches, blackberries, corn and freshly made apple cider.
